How the UnflatVR Grade Works

Every VR mod and port we list gets an UnflatVR Grade from A to D. It's a quick read on how ready a mod is to play right now: is it still being worked on, how does it handle VR controls, can you watch it in action first, and is there a proper install guide. It isn't a review of how fun a game is.

The grade is worked out from what each listing already says, the same way for every mod, and it changes as the listing changes. Nobody hand-picks a letter. Each mod page shows its grade with the points behind it, so you can see exactly why it landed where it did.

What we look atMax pointsHow the points are given
Status35Active 35, Paid release 29, Experimental 18, any other stated status 12, WIP 6, Abandoned 0
VR controls25Full Motion 25, Aim Motion 18, Gamepad 25 when suited to this game (not first-person, and the gamepad implementation works properly), otherwise Gamepad 13, Unknown 0
Review videos102 points per review video we list, up to 5 videos
Install help15Official install guide linked 15, written install summary only 8, none 0
Recent release15Last release within 90 days 15, within a year 10, within two years 5, older or unknown 0

The points add up to 100. Grades: A 89+ · B 73+ · C 56+ · D below 56.

Review videos are videos about the mod that we link on its page. An official install guide is the developer's own setup instructions, linked under How to install. Release dates come from the mod's latest release. Utilities like UEVR are tools for many games, so they don't get a grade.
