These terms apply to your use of unflatvr.com (“UnflatVR”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. What UnflatVR is

UnflatVR is an information directory and news/guide site about VR mods and flat-to-VR ports. We don’t host, mirror, or link to game files, ROMs, ISOs, disc images, or BIOS files. You must supply your own legally owned copies of games, and you’re responsible for following the laws where you live.

2. Mods and installs are at your own risk

Mods are made by independent developers, not by us. Installing mods, sideloading apps, or changing game files can:

break games or saves,
void warranties,
conflict with a game’s or platform’s terms, or
cause motion sickness or physical injury in VR.

Always read the developer’s own instructions and use VR in a safe, clear space. You use any mod, tool, or guide at your own risk.

3. Accuracy

We check versions, dates, and status regularly, but information can be out of date or wrong. Everything on the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

4. Third-party links and content

We link to developer pages, stores, YouTube, X, and other sites, and we show short excerpts of public posts. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products, or practices. A link isn’t an endorsement. Some store links are affiliate or creator-tagged links (see our Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclosure). Some stores are key resellers or marketplaces rather than the game’s official store. Purchases, keys, refunds, and support are between you and the store. Prices shown come from third-party data, may be out of date, and the store’s checkout price is what counts.

5. Our content

The site’s original text, mod data compilation, design, logo, and the “UnflatVR” name belong to us. You may link to any page, share links, and quote short excerpts with credit and a link back. You may not scrape, bulk-copy, or republish the directory or its data, or mirror the site, without written permission.

Game artwork, trademarks, and mods belong to their owners. We use artwork only to identify games. Rights holders who want material removed can email [email protected].

6. Acceptable use

Don’t:

attack, overload, or try to break into the site,
use bots that degrade performance, or
use the site for anything illegal.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, hardware damage, or lost profits, arising from your use of the site or any mod, tool, or link it lists. Our total liability for any claim is limited to US $50.

8. Indemnity

If your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.
