PC VR mod for the 2001 PC release on Windows 10 or newer through SteamVR, tested on Quest 2 and 3 over Steam Link; Meta Link does not work because the game is 32-bit, and Virtual Desktop and Linux are untested. The game must be installed in its default folder and patched to v1.0.9.6. Weapons are aimed by hand, two-handed weapons are held with Left Grip, reloading is a gesture (left controller to the lower back, then to the weapon), the hacking device is drawn from the left shoulder and wired with the right hand, and the Alien's wall climb uses Left Grip. Button mapping, HUD and weapon positions are set in avp2xr.ini, which each update overwrites. Multiplayer can't be joined yet, and some weapon models show missing faces up close. Recommends an RTX 3060-class GPU or better; if the game only opens in a small window, the 32-bit DirectX June 2010 runtime and x86 Visual C++ redistributables may be needed. No game files are included.
