Quake is id Software's 1996 dark-fantasy first-person shooter. This free PC VR port brings Team Beef's Quest version to PC, with the mission packs and MachineGames episodes.

What you need

Own Quake on Steam or GOG (the 2021 re-release includes both mission packs and the MachineGames episodes)

Supply your own legally owned copy; UnflatVR never hosts or links game files.

How to install

Install summary: Run the installer or Setup.bat to build a VR folder from your Steam or GOG Quake, start your OpenXR runtime, then launch Quake VR.bat.

Notes

PC VR port of Team Beef's QuakeQuest over OpenXR, unchanged from the Quest build apart from what the PC needs: weapons follow your controller along a laser sight. Quake, both mission packs and the three MachineGames episodes launch from the headset, and an in-game browser starts installed Quake mods. Tested on Quest 3 over Virtual Desktop (VDXR); SteamVR and the Oculus runtime are untested. 64-bit Windows; GPL-2.0. No game files included.
