Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance is Totally Games' 1999 space combat sim of Rebel dogfights as Ace Azzameen. This free mod plays it in SteamVR with head-tracked 3D cockpits, flown with a joystick or HOTAS.

Notes

Free VR and effects ddraw that ships with the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade mod pack: SteamVR (or Direct SBS) rendering with head and positional tracking, high-detail 3D dynamic cockpits with optional cockpit inertia, and point-at-a-button cockpit controls in supported ships. A joystick or HOTAS is required. VR can also be switched on by setting VR_Mode = SteamVR in VRParams.cfg and tracker_type = SteamVR in CockpitLook.cfg. The newest Effects ddraw is an optional beta on the XWAU downloads page, and the same VR mode works in the TIE Fighter Total Conversion built on XWAU. The GOG edition also works (https://www.gog.com/en/game/star_wars_xwing_alliance). No game files included.
