Outlaws is LucasArts' 1997 Western first-person shooter, remastered by Nightdive Studios in 2025. This free Unreal Engine 5 rebuild plays the full game in VR with hand-held guns and co-op.

Notes

Public beta (v0.95) of a new Unreal Engine 5.1 game that builds every level, sprite, sound and script from your own Outlaws Remastered files at runtime. Each hand picks its own weapon from a wheel, reloads on B/Y, grabs, punches, opens doors and climbs onto ledges and roofs; knives, bottles and dynamite are thrown by hand with a live arc preview. Both campaigns, online co-op for up to 8 players, multiplayer modes with bots and voice chat, a randomizer and comfort options. Made by T4H_Dingle and tested by Dotard, building on research from The Force Engine (Lucius) and the LawMaker editor (Alexei Novikov and David Lovejoy). Bug reports go to #outlaws-vr-bugs on the OutlawsTheGame Discord. No game files included.
