Descent and Descent 2 are Parallax Software's 1995-1996 shooters in which you fly a ship in six degrees of freedom through mines. This free port flies both games in stereo VR with cockpits and head or hand aiming.
Controls Fly with the sticks while you aim with the controller or your head; optional head steering and motion flying with grip-and-move gestures.

What you need

Own Descent and/or Descent 2 for PC (Steam, GOG or disc; the link is Descent, Descent 2 is sold separately on Steam)

Run the installer, which finds your Descent games and adds VR shortcuts, then start your VR runtime and press Start. See the official install instructions above for full steps.
Notes
Built on the DXX-Redux source ports (Parallax/D1X non-commercial licence). Full stereo with head tracking; aim with the controller or your head, or fly the Classic way; no cockpit, a Modern cockpit with live gauges, the original Classic cockpit or a chase view; Head steering, Motion flying and World size options; the game's manual as a book in your hand; Switch Game between Descent and Descent 2. No game files included. Played with Meta Quest Touch controllers; Valve Index and Steam Frame layouts are included. The same release has Quest 3 and Steam Frame standalone builds.
